Welcome to Your October Camping Roundup!
As fall camping season continues, here's what's new with Camp Notes and some tips for your November adventures.
What's New in Camp Notes
The Campgrounds list now sorts by distance, showing you the closest campgrounds first. This makes it easier to find nearby options when you're planning your next trip.
Coming in November
I'm working on an achievements system that will reward you for creating visits and tracking your camping adventures. I'm also improving how the campgrounds list loads to make it faster and smoother.
Got ideas or running into issues? Hit reply and let me know what features you'd love to see or any bugs you've encountered. I read every response and use your feedback to shape what I build next.
November Camping Tips
As we move into late fall, keep these things in mind for November camping:
- Prepare for freezing temperatures at night, even if days are mild
- Check if campground water sources are winterized or shut off
- Bring extra blankets and a four-season sleeping bag rated for cold weather
- Plan for shorter daylight hours when scheduling activities
- Keep your phone and batteries warm as cold weather drains them faster
Supporting Conservation
Camp Notes donates 1% of all revenue to The Nature Conservancy. This month I set aside 90 cents, up from 30 cents in September. It's growing steadily, and I'm excited to see the impact we can make together. Thank you for being part of it!
Happy camping!
